Do you need a referral?
Most patients do come via referral from their general practitioner or specialist, though it is not mandatory. However, Spine Partners ~Wahroonga is a leading collaborator with the medical profession and other health care professionals in Australia.
What can you expect from your consultation at Spine Partners ~Wahroonga?
First and foremost we need to understand your medical and health history. Unfortunately many health problems can mimic disorders of the spine and, as such, we will discuss your history in some detail. This will be followed by a comprehensive examination in order to make the most accurate diagnosis. The initial consultation will usually take between 40 minutes and 1 hour, depending upon the complexity of your case. Whilst a physical examination is very important, your modesty will be preserved at all times and gowns are provided. Please be assured that if we do not think that we can help you, or if our examination reveals any additional concerns, we will refer you appropriately and liaise with your general practitioner on your behalf.
What if I need further investigations?
Our location allows us to work in close collaboration with SAN Radiology at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, which has been performing our diagnostic imaging, such as X-ray, CT and MRI for over 15 years.
San Radiology is committed to quality radiological examinations and diagnosis and therefore uses state-of-the-art equipment and experienced radiographers to produce premium quality images. Working with San Radiology allows our clinicians to collaborate with some of the best radiologists in the country.
The cost of plain film X-rays is largely covered by Medicare (Australian residents only), with only a small out-of-pocket expense. MRI scans are not claimable under Medicare (except when referred by a medical specialist), however, SAN Radiology has very competitive rates and can generally accommodate our patients on short notice.
How do I make an appointment at Spine Partners ~Wahroonga?
Appointments can be made via telephone on 02 9487 2161, and Elizabeth, Jeannie or Sandra will guide you through the process. If you phone outside of consultation hours (see clinic hours of operation), then please leave a message with your name and telephone number and our staff will contact you as soon as they return.

Once a suitable time has been arranged we will send you our Initial Clinical Questionnaire via email, fax or post depending upon your preference.

Spine Partners ~Wahroonga is located in the Wahroonga Specialist Centre on the corner of Fox Valley Road and the Comenarra Parkway, in close proximity to the Sydney Adventist Hospital.
For your convenience there is free parking both in front-of and behind the building.
